Why choose between climbing and art, or climbing and science – when you can do both?
New this year, we’ve teamed up with some awesome local partners to bring you the ultimate camps: Climb ‘n Create (art camp) and Climb ‘n Explore (science camp).
These full-day camps, aimed at children 7-12 years old, will teach kids basic climbing skills and techniques – all in a fun and safe way – while allowing little artists and scientists to explore other interests too!
Also available: half-day camps focused exclusively on climbing and being active.

Get ready for the coolest camps in town!
Our full-day camps combine climbing with art and science, for a one-of-a-kind experience! Two options to choose from:
- Climb ‘n Create: Spend a week with us learning the basics of climbing and creating astonishing art pieces! This camp was created in concert with our friends over at Wet Paint Pottery. During this camp, climbers will get to experiment with several mediums through projects designed specially for us by the best art studio in town! (Check out the awesome plate they made for us!)
- Climb ‘n Explore: Spend a week with us learning the basics of climbing and exploring the wonders of science! During this camp, several hours per day will be devoted to a variety of scientific activities including chemistry and physics – all in an age-appropriate, extra-fun setting!
Our half-day camps focus on climbing and being active, through a mix of instruction, free climb time and fun games!
- Half-day camp: These half-day programs get kids physically active and having fun in a safe, clean and controlled environment. Campers will learn the basics of climbing, play games and have assorted art and science activities. Ages 6-10.
- Physical Conditioning: For those that take their fun a bit more seriously. Designed by a University of Saskatchewan Kinesiology student and a personal trainer, these week-long, half-day program aimed at young athletes, initially developed for The Serious Academy of Hockey, focus on physical conditioning. Participants will learn climbing basics while improving flexibility, balance, strength and cardio. Ages 9-14.
Important things to know
Who is this open to: The full-day program is intended for children ages 7-12. The half-day camps are aimed at children 6-10 or 9-14 depending on the week.
What to bring: All campers will need running shoes, clothes that are comfortable to climb in, and a water bottle. Full-day campers will also need a lunch and a snack. We also encourage but do not require climbers to bring their own reusable mask. We provide all the rest!
What to expect: Campers will spend their day doing a variety of games, learning great climbing techniques, and making new friends, all in a safe, socially-distant fashion.
Participants in Climb ‘n Create will take home some awesome art pieces at the end of camp (may include pottery figurines, canvas artwork, a mug, etc.) while participants in Climb ‘n Explore will bring home some cool new knowledge and a love of science!
